Do my clients need a Bleinks account to sign?
No. Signers receive a secure link, confirm a one-time code sent to their email, review the document and sign in the browser. There is nothing to install and no password to create.
What is free, exactly?
Three sent documents a month, one signer per document, one saved template, and the completed PDF plus audit certificate. No card is needed to start.
Are electronic signatures legally recognised in the UK?
Electronic signatures can be used for many everyday UK business documents. Suitability depends on the document type, any required formalities and how you identify the signer. Bleinks provides simple electronic signatures with an audit trail, not qualified electronic signatures. Our plain-English guide explains the difference and is not legal advice.
Which file types can I send?
PDF. Uploads are checked for a genuine PDF header and scanned for malware before they reach the editor. Export from Word, Pages or Google Docs to PDF first.
Can I sign on a phone?
Yes. The signing page is designed mobile-first. Signers draw with a finger or type their name in a signature style, and the result is captured as an image.
What do I get when everyone has signed?
A sealed PDF with the signatures written into it, and an audit certificate listing each signer, the time of each event and the verification steps behind it. Both are available from the dashboard and the completion email.
Where is my data stored?
Documents are stored encrypted on a server in a European data centre operated by Hetzner, with immutable off-site backups. Authentication is provided by Google Firebase. The security page lists every subprocessor.
How long are documents kept?
By default 90 days after completion, configurable per organisation on Business plans. You can export or delete your account data at any time from settings.
Can I cancel a paid plan?
Yes, at any time from the billing portal in settings. Access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
